Usually when we think about what a hero looks like we think about a male muscular figure that fights for something. Although Phoenix Jackson did not fit this description she definitely did heroic things in her own unique way. Even though she is a old woman she is very brave for doing what she did. Phoenix Jackson is a hero in Joseph Campbell's story. Phoenix Jackson has a lot of examples of where she acted bravely and fearless in this story.
