In part three of Michael Pollan’s book, The Omnivores Dilemma, he describes how he’s determined to create a meal that is self-made entirely of things he has grown, hunted or foraged. In the third part of his book, he wants to challenge his readers’ assumptions about the health benefits we can gain by hunting and foraging our food, educated ourselves regard to why farm animals shouldn’t be dismissed as automatons, and what makes the perfect American diet.
