There has always been a strong bond between money and politics in the United States. The origins of Campaign Financing dates back to the late 1700's. In today's political system, campaign financing plays a major role in the process of a candidate getting elected into public office. Candidates are able to self- finance their campaigns or accept individual contributions. One would say that without large amounts of money to fuel their campaign, a candidate may have little to no chance of reaching their end goal. However this doesn't mean that the person who is able to raise the most amount of money wins the election. The relationship between the people and campaign financing in the Democratic system has had both positive and negative effects on
