Curtis thoroughly explained in the text the way Andrew Jackson had been raised and how that molded him into the man he would later become. Very specific details on many events of his life are provided in the book. While the book may not seem appealing if there is no joy in learning history, the actual life story about Andrew Jackson is not particularly dull. He was explained as a rambunctious child and a mischievous teenager, with a very quick temper.
