As I mentioned in the TAP’s reflection, I struggled with country signs, finger spelling, classifiers, and glossing ASL sentences. Therefore, this week and last week I took it upon myself to study every country sign, enhance my receptive skills, and learn of classifiers. If I did not practice or strengthen these troublesome areas, I would’ve never successfully completed the mapping exercises. YouTube is one of the first sources I used with learning country signing. Of course websites such as handspeak.com or aslpro.com, offer videos on a few country signs, but I needed every known country sign.
