When Kierkegaard talked about ‘subjectivity,’ he implied that human existence is ‘lived’ from the inside rather than observed or thought about from the outside. Subjectivity pertains to having a ‘first-personal’ rather than ‘third-personal’ sense of what it is to be a particular human being.
