There are many negative representation of African American in the film. From Boyz n the Hood, we can see that there are a lot of negative stereotypes in it. Such as Doughboy lives his life in the streets, selling drugs, participating in violent crimes, drinking and got lots of criminal history which is representation of African American. John Singleton stretches the truth those are from how he go through and what he see. We can see that those stereotypes in the film are actually from John Singleton’s experiences.
