In the ancient days and also in today’s world, gods are looked upon as having the highest power in that certain day and age; we see this with the gods of Odysseus and the god from St. Augustine play a big role for the people of those days. With the similarities we see in the gods help us see the differences and how they play a big role in their culture. The gods from the “Odysseus” share a similar quality to the one in St. Augustine “Confession”. In both of the stories we see the god(s) are being praised by the people.
