This haunting, depressing quote describes the feeling of George and Jennie Sodder who had ten children together. Sadly, the Sodder family mysteriously lost five children. Speculation was raised high wondering what happen to these five kids. The bone remains matched the description of Maurice, one of the missing children (Historic Horrors 317). In fact, the Sodders hired a private investigator named C.C Tinsley who formed a new search at the location of the fire in 1949 and identified four human vertebrae (Newton 350). Nevertheless Chief Morris conducted a search around the same time and discovered an organ beneath the ashes .The organ seemed to have been a heart (Horn 4). Considering the evidence that was found, it is no wonder that many theorists believe that the five children died in the nostalgic home.
