As per the Merriam Webster dictionary, privileged means having special rights or advantages that most people do not have. By this definition, privileged students include those who have special talents, intellect, and motivation.
Gifted students should be encouraged to and will be attracted to college honors programs. These students are the prospects of America and should not be criticized for their talents and desires. We should not ostracized “nerds”; we must allow our future doctors, lawyers and rocket scientists to study and learn in an intellectually stimulating environment.
Having talent only is not enough these students to succeed. In order to succeed, students must combine their natural talents and intellect with acquired motivation
