The old wolf and the pigs
He was an old wolf who hunted alone in a forest in Oregon and he had gone months without taking a pig. The wolf was hungry and his bones showed through his fur and his neck was sunk and his eyes were the color of the dirt. His old feet were tired from walking many days, during which he had not found a pig to eat. He did not remember when it happened, but he talked to himself as he walks.
“I do not remember when I started to talk to myself,” the old wolf said. “I do not remember when I learned to talk. In fact, I did not know that wolves could talk. But I am a mad old wolf and there are no pigs.”
The old wolf came to a place with no trees. There was a little straw house. The walls were straw and the windows were straw…show more content… “I have hair on my chin and this makes me a great man. I hear that you are an old wolf and you do not have hair on your chin.”
The old wolf had fur all over his body, but he did not have hair on his chin. This made the wolf hesitate.

The old wolf walked and walked and the sun drifted west.
The old wolf came to another place with no trees. In the middle of this place was a little house of bricks. The bricks looked very strong and the old wolf smelled three pigs.
“These little meats are smart,” the old wolf said. “They have found a strong house of bricks to protect them. These are smart meats and that is great and stable. It is such a profound reason to eat them.”
“Let me in, let me in, little meats” the old wolf said. “Or I will huff and puff and huff and puff and blow down your house.”
“You will not,” said the little pigs. “We have hair on our chins and this makes us men. We know you are an old wolf and you do not have hair on your
