Copper Sun is an emotional tale. Written by Sharon M. Draper, Copper Sun expresses many emotions. The main character is Amari. Amari is a teenager from an African village called Ziavi and was captured as slave and had to suffer the horrible journey from Africa. Amari also lost her boyfriend. For freedom, Amari suffers through numerous emotions and it pays off. The two emotions which are mainly expressed in the novel are happiness and sadness.. Amari is happy is the beginning and the end of the book.
