3.) The people of the 21st century may not really grasp the concept of what exactly Byrd was trying to convey to his readers. Reason being the people of the 21st century just can’t fabricate the hardships that took place in this specific time period. On the other hand, if someone did actually understand the reading, it probably wasn’t important enough to them to comprehend it. The audience the author was actually going for was the meaningful settlers of his time era. Meaningful being the settlers who weren’t lazy as the dickens and, actually could contribute to the overall society. A popular topic for satire in the 21st century is in fact the 2016 presidential election. With so many interesting candidates like Hillary Clinton, Jeb Bush, Donald Trump and Carly Fiorina, there is never a dull moment. Whether it’s Trump ripping on people based on their previous actions or just straight up there appearance. Honestly, with Trump having his several of his companies go bankrupt, not to mention multiple times, as well as the fact he said he would date his daughter if they weren’t related is enough information to make sure someone like that doesn't run America, or run it into the ground. Let’s also not forget about how one of the Clintons is running for the presidency. The whole conspiracy about Hilary’s destroyed emails and, the Bill scandal could be two separate books on their own. Let’s be real even the Bushs have a better chance at another go than the Clintons. Even in a classroom there are endless possibilities to make fun of your peers, just make sure they don’t get too offended and make even more stupid
