A Rhetorical Analysis of the Zoosk Website I chose the Zoosk website because of the poem “Love without Sex,” Zoosk is a way to find love! You should find love before having sex the author believes, so now there is a sure way to make sure you do as the writer wants. The Zoosk website uses rhetorical devices to get singles men and women to choose their dating sight instead of all other competitors. The opening site is the sign up page, literally, you don’t have to search for it they put it on the first page you see. Most readers will start at the opening page and start the sign up process. Zoosk has a bunch of hyperlinks all at the bottom of the sight. These hyperlinks show you that Zoosk has more than a logical side. The opening website is…show more content…
On the Zoosk website, logos is used to grab the attention of the reader and they use a lot through text. As you open the site you see “40,000,000 singles worldwide and 3 million messages sent daily.” When I read this first it makes me believe that this site works. Through text, images, and shapes Zoosk uses good emotional appeal to the reader. In the background of Zoosk’ site there is about ten pictures of happy couples hugging, kissing, and smiling from ear to ear. Also the logo of Zoosk has a heart around the second “O” to show love or a possibility of love. Pathos is also shown through text and button shape. The biggest example of emotion on a dating website are the pictures of love! This quote shows pathos on the site “Getting over someone you love isn’t easy at all. But it’s essential that you don’t let the love you have for your ex outweigh the love you have for yourself. Here's how to do it...” I think this quote helps you realize, yes, you are probably getting over someone but you can still find someone else in this time. Lastly, the heart shape helps the reader or browser feel love or possible
