Recycled learner
It’s been about 8 years since I’ve graduated high school, since then I've completed a few certificate programs. I’ve worked in the health care industry for about 6 years and I decided that it was time to acquire new skills and pursue a career in nursing. These components make me a recycled learner.
According to the self-evaluation of sensory learning styles in my textbook, I believe that I am also an auditory learner. I tend to retain information by listening. I also enjoy classroom and small-group discussions. I preserve information best if I hear it versus if I read it. Strategies that I would use in the classroom to enhance my learning would be studying with a classmate and discussing the information. By doing so I can hear the information from someone else. I could also enhance my learning by creating flashcards and reading them out loud and create acronyms to remember things such as 7 characteristics to life "MRS GREN" Movement, Respiration, Sensitivity, Growth, Reproduction, Excretion, Nutrition. While…show more content… I would agree with my interpersonal score because I like to work with others as much as possible in a classroom setting. It's nice to learn from other people’s mistakes. I also like to explore my options. It is also easy for me to see things from another point of view. During study time, I will try to get my family or friends involved with quick quiz or demonstration. My Linguistic score was 75% and I also agree with the results. A linguistic learner responds well to verbal, presentation, large and small work group discussions, storytelling and debates. I will consider using theses strategies in a classroom setting. During study time, I would also get people around me involved in my learning process if available, I could also make up phrases or
