While reading Wonder I found it hard to understand why Auggie’s parents would send him to a public school ,where he would face such ridicule. What did his older sister Via think? The book Wonder was written by R.J Palacio. He was hoping in teaching people especially children not to judge people on the way you look. You should base them on their personality. Mr.Palacio ,I am writing to you to see if you could answer some of my suspicions about Wonder. Did you think the school was a good setting and surrounding for Auggie? The book Wonder changed me because it made me think of words toward other people. This is because I realized how much words can really affect someone. Some quotes in the story that changed me I will list now. ”One of the things I miss most about Via’s friendship is her family. ”Another quote is "Say goodbye to Daisy kids,tears streaming down her face. ”The last quote is “I can’t believe you’ve grownup this year Auggie.” In the book Wonder August was being bullied because he was different. It was hard for him to fit in with the other students. As soon as Auggie started school there were problems because he didn’t look the same as the others. Via is Auggie’s older sister. She is able to do things Auggie can’t because their parents are too scared. Since Auggie was born with some defects his parents want to make sure he is not bullied because that is their baby. His parents seem to think he’s still a baby. Auggie feels loved with how much attention he gets,but sometimes he wants to be invisible. With all the attention Auggie gets it kind of gets Via a little jealous. It seems like she feels annoyed because when she needs her parents most they don’t focus on her. But in the end they all love each other no matter what
