In “The Singer Solution to World Poverty,” Peter Singer, a bioethics professor, calls attentions for the urgent need for food and medicine by arguing, prosperous people should donate all money, not needed for the basic necessities of life, to overseas aid organizations. Peter Singer claims that “The formula is simple,” stating “whatever money you’re spending on luxuries, not necessities, should be given away.” Within his argument he supplies many pros and cons, however some are not as persuasive as others.
Singer’s argument provides several pros throughout his argument. It is true that organizations such as UNICEF and Oxfam America would benefit greatly from donations. Donations would be able to provide necessities such as medicine, food,
