I live in Queensbury New York it is a town ten minutes away from Lake George. I went to Queensbury High School where I was on the track and field team, powerlifting team, and was the manager of the varsity football team. I have always want to be a state trooper, work with homeland security, or do something in the field with criminal justice ever since I was in kindergarten. I chose to come here to Utica College for a number of reasons. One reason was the small class sizes, a lot of the schools that I looked at had 50 plus students in every class. ANother reason was because of the criminal justice program that was offered here. I thought that the program was one of the better ones. I have done a couple of lifting competitions I currently have four rps world records for lifting. I start lifting my sophomore year of high school, my junior year I start going to an exclusive powerlifting gym. Shortly after that I became to excel at the sport and began to do competitions. Another activity that I enjoy doing is International Combat Hapkido. Combat Hapkido is a self defense class that teaches practical and real live defences. Combat Hapkido is a huge part of my life, I am currently a first degree black belt. I have been doing this for two and half years. I have gone to Combat Hapkido almost every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday ever since i have started it. This self defence class has made me into the person I am today, it has taught me self control and perseverance. Also, I am currently a member of the Washington County Sheriff's office Explorer Post 602. This is a program that I have been in now for two years were the explorers learn about different jobs in the criminal justice field. For example with the explorers post there was a field trip to the DEA, field trips to the the local law enforcement academy when there were people going through it, also there have been DEC officers, Forest rangers, New York State troopers that have all came in and talked to the explores about the different thing that they
