My topic for the paper will be an experiment designed to test the whether the phonological loop is in fact a separate memory process from the visual-spatial sketchpad memory process. I will conduct this experiment on myself by having my husband record 10 different words, which I will listen to and memorize while I play a computer game that involves keeping my eyes on the screen. When I am finished with the game, I will write down all the words I could remember and then see how accurate my memory was.
Another test set will include me trying to memorize 10 individual words printed in a large font while playing the same game. My husband will print 10 individual words in large font and show me this while playing the game, which I will try to memorize
