Many people in today’s society can agree that racism, is a treacherous thing. Racism has been a problem around the world for hundreds of years, and unfortunately, it still is a problem today. The thing about racism is that it is an extremely sensitive topic, and I often find it is hard to have discussion about it. No one wants to be labelled a racist, no one ones to offend someone, so most of the time people are careful to tread very lightly. We are all aware that in the past, America was a segregated country. People of color were forced to attend separate schools, use different water fountains, bathrooms, and even had to sit in the back of the bus. Andrea X, a woman of color, has brought us to this point once more. With her blatant racism and 'women of colour healing retreat', it's a true testament to the hypocrisy in the world surrounding racism. Racism is defined as, 'prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against someone of a different race based on the belief that one's own race is superior.', or, 'the belief that all members of each race possess characteristics or abilities specific to that race, especially so as to distinguish it as inferior or superior to another race or races.'. This is exactly what's happening right now. This woman, who was so hurt by racism in America towards her, spews hateful comments towards white people, including, "I feel like white people shouldn't even have passports." She also said that she found it frequently difficult to communicate with White people without focusing on their constant “microaggressions” and “passive-aggressiveness,”. So she plans to solve racism with more racism? This is truly sad. Imagine for one second, that a white woman did the same thing. The world would be outraged, so why is it okay for this black woman to do
