Legalizing drugs doesn’t solve anything, it only makes problems worse. All drugs modify the human brain by creating an intense feeling that you can achieve again and again by increasing the dosage ( If drugs get legalized it will increase drug use and lead to more deaths from drug overdose. Under legalization the prices for drugs would be lowered by a lot from what they already are. This will increase the population of people who use drugs because of how affordable drugs will become. Exactly, 10,265 people died in 2015 from drunk driving which is 29% of the deaths from car crashes ( Now just imagine how many more will be caused from drug use if drugs are legalized. As, I mentioned earlier the withdrawal symptoms are quite severe and last for a long period of time. Due to this fact drugs shouldn’t be legalized because once you're addicted to the drug it is extremely hard to get off of. This is why addiction centers exist in america since it isn’t easy to get off of drugs. On top of this if the legalization of drugs happens then it is practically impossible to reverse because if you take it away all of the adicts will riot, along with many more new addicts. Upon legalization of drugs, they will become more affordable by a huge percent and will increase even more people getting addicted to drugs. If drugs are ever legalized it will go up in numbers in creating problems with marriages, pregnancy, and more car crashes resulting in possible deaths.
