Cyber bullying is a huge problem in the United States. What is cyber bullying? Cyber bullying is what happens when someone bullies another person off of the internet. Why do people cyber bully? The people who cyber bully do it to feel powerful. They also do it because they are taking there own problems out on there victims. They also enjoy treating others like they were treated. Who are the victims? The victims of cyber bullying are the weaker people in our world. Younger people are also victims of cyber bullying because they not be as old or as strong. How do people cyber bully? Cyber bullying is everywhere but the two most common is on social media like facebook, twitter, and instagram. Another common place for cyber bullying is in video games like when you are playing a game online people will keep ruining the gaming experience for you and also they can ruin it by game chatting. More than 16,000 young people are absent from school just because of bullying. 83% of young people say bullying has a negative impact on their self-esteem. 19 percent of cuberbullying often entails the spreading of rumors. Nearly 13 percent of victimized children experience hurtful comments. 32 percent of online teens say they have been targets of a range of annoying online activities. 15 percent of teens overall say someone has forwarded or posted a private message they’ve written. 38 percent of online girls report being bullied compared with the 26 percent of online boys. In particular 41 percent of older girls from the ages from 15 to 17 have reported bullying. People think that it is all fun and games online. But we need to help them know that feelings do exist on the internet. A person who laughs, cries, and hurts like we do. Help the kids of our young generation that bullying is wrong no matter if it is on video games or on facebook and maybe at your very own
