Mike Tyson is a former professional American boxer. He is a former heavyweight champion of the world and holds many records as the youngest boxer to win heavyweight titles. He won his first 19 fights by knockout, 12 of them in the first round. He gained power through his fans who thought he was unstoppable at the time; they called him “Iron” Mike Tyson. Mike Tyson came from a broken home and at a young age got involved in criminal activities. Muhammad Ali came to speak at a correctional facility where Tyson was living and that’s when he got inspired about boxing. At age thirteen he goes to the Tryon School for boys where he learns his true potential as a boxer. In 1992 he was convicted of sexual assault and was sentenced to six years in prison, this was the beginning of the end of his career. After serving 3 years of 6 years sentenced he was released. He took part in a couple of comeback fights to win back his titles. In 1996 he won back the WBC and WBA title by knockout. In 1988 Jimmy Jacobs Tyson’s manager died unexpectedly. When he died Tyson realized that he was alone and had no one to help him. Other managers came to him but no of them tried to help him with his substance abuse problem or aggressions, they only made it worse. At that point he knew the end was not far. "My whole life has been a waste — I've been a failure,” Mike Tyson retired from boxing in 2006. He lost his last two fights by knockout. At beginning of his career Mike Tyson was unstoppable; it was after he went to jail when his boxing career started going downhill.
