Going into season number two without LeBron James, the Miami Heat are slowly climbing back up to prominence in the Eastern Conference. Last season, the Heat had a solid squad, but this year’s group seems to have even more fantasy potential. From Chris Bosh to Hassan Whiteside, Miami is loaded with guys who can stuff some fantasy stat sheets in 2015-16.
So, here is my 2015-16 fantasy team preview for the Miami Heat:
Hassan Whiteside, Center
Whiteside is one player who I think has a massive amount of upside going into the upcoming NBA season. Last year in 48 games, he averaged 11.8 points, 10.0 rebounds and 2.6 blocks per game. Whiteside shot a solid 62 percent from the field and averaged just 23.8 minutes per game for Miami. I see an increased minute per game total this season, which will lead to even more stats for Whiteside. Playing alongside crafty veterans in Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade, he should have proper guidance to take his game to all new heights.…show more content… In 2014, Whiteside shot a tumultuous 50 percent from the charity stripe, which needs to be vastly improved this year. He also has shown points of immaturity over the last year. For example, his recent Twitter beef with Warriors’ up and coming start Draymond Green. One other negative to drafting Whiteside is his recent calf injury. The free-throw and behavior issues can both be fixed, however, keep your eye on the calf injury going into your upcoming fantasy
