I believe Madame Forestier will not give loisel's his money back. Based on what I read it seems that Madame Forestier is a sneaky person. Madame Forestier knew the necklace was fake , but still made Mathilda work for a replacement necklace. Not only that but after Mathilda paid of her debt from the necklace , Madame Forestier makes Mathilda wonder what her life would have been like if she hadn't lost the necklace.
