The one thing that I was hesitant about was the way that Alice Goffman obtained her information from the police. When I was reading how she would simply ask the police members about why they would go to certain places in the city, and they gave her a clear answer was just hard to believe. For me no police officer would be willingly to simply explain why they detain or even raid the homes of individuals that either they suspect have done a crime or know that they have a warrant that they are in the process of paying off. Another thing that really bothered me was the fact that the police officers go into hospitals to search the sign in list to scan names that have been in prison before.
