Over the years, many authors and directors have interpreted the words of William Shakespeare. The tragedy of Macbeth. This literary analysis will focus on the written and animated versions of Holinshed chronicles, No fear Shakespeare: Macbeth, The Animated Tales of Macbeth and how they manipulate the literary devices of settings, Characterization, and mood to reimagine the death of King Duncan in Act one scene two. In the original text of The Tragedy of Macbeth, Shakespeare introduces Duncan death in the setting of Macbeth castle. Macbeth is characterized by his guilt when Macbeth says “I’ll go no more, I am afraid to think what I have done look a’nt again I dare not” (Pg.364) (Lines 48-50) When his wife told him to place the bloody daggers in Duncan’s chamber. Both the setting and the characterization help attribute to a mood of suspense, evident in the contrast making seen at the end of sceneii. On Page (365) because of the evidence didn’t know if Lady Macbeth if Macbeth and Lady Macbeth will be caught in the act of murder. Overall Shakespeare version of Act two scene two is successful, since he provides ample details for the audience to imagine the murderous act of the main chamber.…show more content…
The setting takes place in the woods that Macbeth and Banquo are passing through. Macbeth is characterize by his ambition. On (pg. 427-428), (Lines 24-25). Hollinshed says “he begin to take counsel by force, how he might unsure the kingdom by force”. His wife urged him to go through with the deed of killing king Duncan. The setting and Characterization show that Banquo should be wary, because Macbeth would go to extreme lengths for the prophecy not to come true.
