No one really understands the American Dream. I interviewed my mother “Leslie”, she has a different outlook on the American Dream. Her first thoughts of the American Dreams was to be a doctor, she wanted materialistic things. Leslie’s definition of the American Dream has changed over time she now believes that there is no American Dream. Leslie thinks that everyone who isn’t rich is in the lower class because I showed her the video we watched about “social class and mobility”. She believes that if you aren’t in the upper class then you’re in the lower class. My definition is quite different from my mom’s.
