How far would you go for power? Ever wanted something so bad, but didn’t aim to actually do it because it interfered or went against your morals? Well Macbeth is an example of what will happen to you, if you did try to even attempt to do something like that. Macbeth is a tragedy hero who suffers a major downfall in his life from making one bad decision with the help of his wife, Lady Macbeth. He is driven to become King and will kill anyone that gets in his way. The drama and evildoings presented in this play makes this one of William Shakespeare best known plays. There are times that Macbeth thinks he has sold his soul to the devil. Lady and Macbeth have their ways when they react emotionally. Some examples are when Macbeth and Lady Macbeth’s relationship gradually starts to change. In the beginning, they were actually close and talked about things but towards the end they barely talk to each other nor cared for one another. Another example, is when Lady Macbeth could not take the guilt anymore, where she is caught sleepwalking and talking in her sleep confessing some of the things she has done, repeatedly cleansing her hands which is a sign of getting rid of the blood, and eventually she just decides to give up and commits suicide. There are numerous of example where Guilt has affected them physically. Macbeth goes from being a night and shining knight to a worried tyrant. Both Macbeth and Lady Macbeth have trouble going to sleep and when they do, they experience reoccurring and terrifying dreams. There are times when Macbeth thinks he sees Banquo’s ghost and have horrible hallucinations. When Lady Macbeth starts to sleepwalk, the gentlewoman and doctor observe and notices that she retells events of the day Duncan dies and says she needs Spiritual help.
