Interim Supervision Order Case Study

359 Words2 Pages
In cases where the child is not an immediate risk an interim supervision order can be applied. An interim supervision order places a child under the supervision of the child protection authority. Under an interim supervision order the child can remain at home, but with the supervision of the ministry. However, the parent(s) would need to follow specific terms and conditions necessary to ensure the child's safety in the home. In this case, Tina has to attend Healthiest Babies Possible Program and regularly attend, participate in alcohol and drug counselling sessions. An interim supervision order could also mean that the child will live with someone else (a family member or friend) with the ministry’s supervision for a certain amount of time.
