The Prophet Muhammad was known to spread monotheism and uprightness among people all over the world. As such, Muhammad understood that the Jews, Christians, and Muslims all revered the same God, and were determined to follow God’s word. Safi mentions that Muhammad was not trying to overcome Moses or Jesus but instead he wanted to restore their original message about peace. Also, Muhammad strived to fix everyone’s religious beliefs by preaching peace and following the teachings and guidance of God. In this paper I will identify the spread of monotheism, the restoration of the original message of peace, and the cultivation of uprightness and equality as the main goals of Prophet Muhammad. In fact, Muhammad was determined to institute the authority of Allah. Muhammad continuously disliked his people's lifestyle as peace did not exist and the society was heading downward. According to Brockopp, he did not support their idolatry, and he was against their un ethical lifestyle that involved them getting drunk and having intimate relations. What Muhammad did was that he would frequently go to the desert and think about life while distancing himself from the wrongful activities of the people. At age 40, Prophet Muhammad started to have revelations through the angel Gabriel from God, where he was told that he was selected as a Messenger to his people, and these revelations involved the teaching of the holy Qur'an to all humanity. Here, we can see that Muhammad accomplished his goal of establishing peace and uprightness by being alone and asking for God’s
