Joan of Arc was someone of extreme importance during French history. Not only did she help the French reclaim France from England and Burgundy, she also helped contribute to the negation of France’s complete collapse. Also, Joan of Arc was someone who helped French in many different ways and if never she did exist; she would’ve never impacted history like she did. In fact, she was so important that she was canonized on May 16, 1920, by Pope Benedict XV. Overall, Joan of Arc impacted France in many different ways, such as reuniting France, giving hope and confidence to the people of France, and for being confident throughout her conquest herself. Joan of Arc was a very important factor when it came to the Hundred Years War, mainly between England, France, and Burgundy. Her presence played a huge role for deciding whether or not the French would retake France, or if they would just collapse as a society and eventually become a colony of either the English or the Burgundians. Her presence gave the French a persona to look up to, and to believe in, which resulted in the people believing in Joan more and more.
