Dr. A. T. W. Simeons originally developed the HCG diet plan in the hope of fighting obesity. The HCG plan was formulated to help obese people to return to their safe weight zones. Nowadays, a lot of people has used this diet plan and achieved significant results. A daily dosage of 125 IU to 200 IU can lead to about 1 to 2 pounds of weight loss a day. This diet would require a person to consume approximately 500 calories per day while taking HCG drops. The main focus is to enforce consuming smaller food portions with less calories and fats. The HCG diet promotes long term weight loss. A daily intake of only 500 calories can seem hard and intimidating at first. This phase would include practicing healthy lifestyle. Through the commitment to this phase, excess weight is kept off for good. Change in lifestyle include healthier eating habits and choices, and proper exercise. Although it is only normal to go back to old eating habits such as eating sugary and fat foods.
