Once upon a time there was a very poor woodcutter that lived in a tiny cottage in the forest. He had a wife and two children. His wife often complained that there wasn’t enough food for all of them. One day his wife and children went out into the woods. The woodcutter and his wife went to cut down some wood for the children and never came back. In the morning Hansel & Gretel tried to go back home. Then they remembered the way they went. Hansel remembered going East to where they were now. So they went East and when they got back home there parents weren't home. They went to search for them around the house but never found them. Two days later they came back. The witch tried to cook them but Gretel pushed the witch into the oven. Hansel and Gretel then ate the gingerbread house. Hansel and Gretel then got home three days later. This time when they got home they saw a wolf eating their mom. They waited about five minutes before their dad came home and shot the wolf. Then he saw his children and came to hug them. When they went inside they had supper. After supper Hansel told his father that they were rich. Hansel told his father the story about them finding the gingerbread house. Hansel told told his father about the room under the house. When Hansel, Gretel, and their father got to the place where Hansel and Gretel woke up, they went 100 ft North, just like Hansel said. They soon found the gingerbread house and went in. They found the trapdoor and went down the ladder. When they got to the bottom there was a locked door. So they went back up the ladder to search for the key. Hansel found the key in a gummy in the roof. When they got the key they went back down the ladder. They unlocked the door and went into the room were they found a pile of gold, diamonds, iron, and bronze. They all weaved baskets to put the bronze, diamonds, gold, and iron
