Guilty by Suspicion, Starring Robert De Niro as David Merrill, tells the story of post-Cold War America and it’s constant mental and physical war on communism inside itself. The one thing that Americans hated the most was fueling this on-going struggle, nationwide propaganda. The American people were told that there were communists in Hollywood and they were using their movies to trick the American people into believing that communism was the best thing that this country could believe in. Hundreds of directors, actors, writers and producers were placed on a list a brought in one by one; scared into giving up the names of any random person in the film business. Some of these people could have been close friends or even family. Many of these
