Guatemala Have you ever wanted to take a trip to a place other than the United States? Guatemala might be the perfect place to go. It has an interesting history behind it and is full of secrets that people or still to find. It has about 2 million people living in the capital city. Guatemala’s people are made up of 3 different types. There are Aztecs, Mayas, and Mexican people that live in Guatemala. Guatemala has also gone through a lot in the past few years. Independence Guatemala’s people declared their independence on September 15, 1821. After Guatemala’s people declared independence, later on they became part of the Mexican empire.
