When George Washington Carver was born he was a sick infant and very weak. No one knew that he would become such a historical figure. He invented over 300 ways to use the peanut. George taught at Tuskegee Alabama for twenty years before he died. George W. Carver was always very unpredictable. George W. Carver was born sometime in January 1864. Just a week after he was born he, his Mother, and his sister were stolen from the Carver farm. Only George was found, a sick little baby on the side of the road. He was to sick to do any heavy work so he helped Mrs. Carver with the laundry and cooking. Susan Carver taught George and his brother James how to read and write.
