In Wes Anderson’s film, Moonrise Kingdom, an important theme is first love. The audience follows Sam and Suzy as they discover the triumphs, excitement and pitfalls of being in love. The theme and overall film is presented with typical Wes Anderson attributes: bright colors but low contrast. This works well in this film because it gives it creates a whimsical feeling that can be associated with first love.
