In J.P Whites poem Ecclesiastes I Read, the poets illustrates that modern science has a positive and a negative impact. The poet continues to describe how he sees the world to be a perfect place, using references from the bible. In the first opening lines, the poets states “Who can tell the earth’s tele of wearing down, building up, erosion, creation…” (“In Ecclesiastes I Read” 4-5) this shows what modern technology has done as it starts to progress.
