Donald Trump vs. Jeb Bush
One is a professional business man. The other is a former governor of Florida. Donald Trump and Jeb Bush are currently running against each other to decide who will represent the Republican Party in the 2016 presidential election. Even though they are both Republican, Trump and Bush come from very different backgrounds and have different opinions on how to run our country.
Donald Trump was born in Queens, New York, June 14, 1946. Donald’s father, Fredrick Trump, was a real-estate developer in Queens, Staten Island, and Brooklyn. Trump began assisting his father with the rental property business at a very young age. When he was five, he was taken to building…show more content… After graduating from college, he joined his father’s company, Elizabeth Trump & Son. By 1971, Trump became the CEO of the company, which was renamed the Trump Organization and moved to Manhattan (Atkins). In the 1980’s, the Trump Organization was the peak of the real estate companies, with Trump’s net worth being over one billion dollars.
By 1990, however, Trump’s company began a slow downfall. His net worth plummeted from an estimated one point seven billion to a mere five hundred million due to a real estate market crash. In 2004, Trump used his high-profile persona and began starring in the reality TV show, The Apprentice.

In 2012, he considered running again. However, his history of saying that Obama was not born in the U.S. ruined that campaign as…show more content… Trump’s plan is quite a radical one. Trump wants to build a large wall on the border of Mexico and the U.S., and immediately deport the people in the U.S. that are not citizens. He also took a cheap shot at Jeb Bush by saying that Jeb’s wife influenced his immigration perspective because she was born outside of the U.S. Jeb responded by saying that Trump was crudely insulting his wife and should apologize immediately. Bush then went on to explain how we can’t just build a wall to keep immigrants out. That will just cost an insane amount of money and be largely ineffective. Jeb Bush wants to take a more stable approach at the situation. He believes that the immigration problem is a yearly process, not a weekly one.
One brings a fiery attitude to each debate. The other is calm and sophisticated. Trump wants to lead this country with an iron fist and use simple but effective approaches for everything. Jeb Bush wants to slowly bring this country out of the current hole that it’s in by using knowledge and wisdom. Even though Trump and Bush are two completely opposite people, they still want to do what is right for our
