Demetria Devonne Lovato is an American singer, songwriter, actress, model and anti-bullying spokesperson. Demi was born on the 20th of August, 1992 in New Mexico. Her parents got divorced when she was 2 years old resulting a grudge with her father; she was bullied, resulting in her self-harm and eating disorders. Her career started as an actress in a children’s show “Barney and Friends” when she was 10-11 years old. As an actress Lovato is most known for her role as Mitchie Torres in the “Camp Rock” movies and as Princess Rosalinda in the “Princess Protection Program”. Her debut album “Don’t forget” got released on September 23, 2008. The album debuted at number two on the Billboard 200, with first-week sales of 89,000 copies and was certified gold by the RIAA. Lovato’s second album “Here we go again” got released on July 21 2009. In November 2010 it was reported that Lovato decided to enter treatment after punching a backup dancer while on tour. Her personal issues and struggles have influenced her music, especially her latest albums.While talking about her album “DEMI’ she said that writing her single “Warrior” was the easiest for her and the reason is the song is about her past, it’s about how she had to grow up too fast and realise how cruel the world is. A warrior is a strong fighter, which Demi is. It is truly amazing to see your idol admit that she needs help and get it, to see how after so much struggling someone can come out so strong.
