Me Talk Pretty One Day Many people struggle to find where they fit it in. Some may feel as if they don’t belong no matter how hard they try. In David Sedaris Me Talk Pretty One Day, he describes his life where he meets many challenges of not fitting in. Instead of dwelling with the fact that he’s not like everyone else he finds ways to deal with it. This novel was very effective in capturing its audience. It is close to a good example of the writing suggestions William Zinsser made in his book On Writing Well. Not only is Me Talk Pretty One Day interesting but it’s also relatable. David Sedaris explains in Me Talk Pretty One Day the challenges he went through in his life. He reaches out to everyday people going through the same, if not different, problems as he did, which is what make this book so relatable. He writes about his life in a raw and humorous way. What makes his writing so impressive is that he is not ashamed of anything he’s been through, where many people rather keep their problems to themselves than share it. I believe that Sedaris wrote this book not only to tell his life story but to encourage others and let them know that they can overcome any problem.
