In the story, “Undercover Anarchist” by David Kushner, larger than life, Mark Kennedy infiltrated a peaceful activist group that wouldn’t hurt a fly. In fact, they are vegetarians, they do not hurt most anything human. Yet Kennedy, an undercover police officer for the National Public Order Intelligence Unit, was selected to secure information and report it back to intelligence. In order to become one of the activists, Mark Kennedy, a loving family man, a respected police officer who honored his badge and had “blue” running through his veins, transformed into Mark Stone. It was as though from one body, two people emerged; a straight-laced man who followed the rules and did all he could to show his allegiance to his job and a long haired, tattooed loud mouth, who did all he could to do the exact opposite. When he decided to join the force just like his father, he was a natural.
