The two advertisements that I chose are both for sporting goods companies. The first advertisement that I chose is from Nike. The ad shows a man with two prosthetic legs running on a track. The second advertisement that I chose is from Under Armour. It show a professional baseball player about to hit a baseball. They both show athletes performing in different athletic events, but they can be interpreted in different ways. On the surface it looks like the two advertisements are just trying to sell their clothing or equipment, but through their uses of ethos and pathos these ads turn into inspiration.
