Humans have no pure good or pure evil intentions; it’s pure judgment on a person’s perspective in different situations. In the short story “The Child by Tiger” and “The Most Dangerous Game” the two main characters show a conflict of their personal gloom nature. “The Most Dangerous Game” by Richard Connell was written from an author who grew up in New York, he attended college at Harvard and fought in World War 1. “The Child by Tiger” by Thomas Wolfe was born and raised in Ashville, North Carolina. The different culture aspects of the two authors play a role in the differences in the two short stories. “The Child by Tiger” main charter is an African American man named Dick Prosser. Dick Prosser is a gentle and tender man, he works hard as a servant to make a living during a time in life were African American males only have certain jobs offered to them.
