1. The opening of the book sets up the relationship between George and Lennie and gives the reader the first glimpse at the way they work together as a pair. The reader will begin to see how George is responsible for Lennie as well as how Lennie isn’t the brightest. It also describes the setting of the story so the reader knows when and where it takes place. 2. In Of Mice and Men, many of the characters search for the weaknesses of others to make themselves feel stronger. In real life, people take advantage of others’ weaknesses and in doing so, feel better about themselves. From a young age Disney showed an interest in drawing cartoons. While living in Marceline, a family neighbor paid Disney to draw pictures of his horse. At home, Walt would copy the cartoons he saw in the newspaper. When the family moved to Kansas City, Walt took classes at the Kansas City Art Institute, and he later took classes at the Chicago Academy of Fine Arts when the family moved back to Chicago. He began his artistic carrer with a job at the Pesmen-Rubin Art Studio, where he created advertisements for different magazines, papers, and theaters. I would like to meet Walt Disney in Starbucks because so many lives are influenced by his creations and his legacy. There isn’t a person in America who wouldn’t recognize the name Disney. The creations of his imagination influence the childhoods of many, but our love for them doesn’t stop when we become adults. I would most like to ask him how he developed some of his ideas that later became his greatest successes, and where he got the inspiration to create a magical place based off of the world of his cartoons. I would tell him about the way his imagination influences my life and how everything “Disney” brings joy to me and the people I know. I would also want to tell him how impressive his story is; how he rose to such success from a background that didn’t give him anything special, just a self-discovered love for art and
