There are many comparisons one can draw from the political and religious aspects of the Egyptian early river civilization, 2700 B.C.E - 1100 B.C.E, and the Chinese early river valley civilization, 1600 B.C.E - XXX. Although there are many differences between the two, the similarities greatly outweigh them. Firstly, both early river valley civilizations were polytheistic. The reasoning behind there polytheism was quite simple; they need something, or in this case someone, to explain the unexplainable. They had all different types of Gods in order to explain why there were floodings or why people died. This probably gave them a sense of understanding on the outside world. Secondly, both civilizations believed in some form of the afterlife.
