I have also chosen option 1 for my grant fundable project.
When I was a high school senior in Tijuana, Mexico I was able to volunteer as English/Spanish interpreter for the volunteers for the Give the Gift of Sight Foundation clinic that for two weeks provided free eye exams and prescription glasses to people who were not able to afford these in Tijuana. I will create a fictitious non-profit organization called “Fundación para la Salud Visual Infantil” (Spanish for Children’s eye care foundation) based on the need for access to eye care present in Latin America, after what I learned from this experience and the many years I lived in Mexico. Fundación para Salud Visual Infantil will create eye clinics in underserved communities in Latin America
