The Caregiver Quality of Life Index-Cancer (CQOLC) scale, written by Weitzner, Jacobsen, Wagner, Friedland, and Cox (1999), is a 35 question instrument using a five point Likert-type scale. This instrument evaluates constructs such as mental health, emotional well being, burden, and social support that are experienced by a caregiver of a cancer patient. Additionally, quality of life for the family caregiver is correlated with the patient's functionality and number of treatment modalities.
