Captain America was created in the early 40s right around the time of World War II. Joe Simon and Jack Kirby(the makers of Captain America) did not like Nazi Germany’s blitzkriegs throughout Europe. The USA still wouldn’t join the war effort in 1940, and so Simon and Kirby needed a hero for America.
